September 2011 : iResearch Services appoints James McCullagh as VP Business Development

To further its expansion plans, iResearch Services has appointed James McCullagh to operate from its London office.

James brings extensive experience of the research industry, having operated within the major research houses, across sectors, countries, modes and methodologies. He has hands-on experience of all aspects of research from winning business through operational logistics to successful outcomes.

Describing his approach James noted, “Rather than see research as a 'plug & play' technical discipline, with ‘operations’ as a silo’d subset, I prefer consultation, starting with clients’ commercial objectives and working back to practical, accessible solutions.

At the heart of my thinking is the utilisation of technology to facilitate optimum communication between organisations and consumers. Given the glut of information sources, intelligent solutions may go beyond primary research encompassing the integration of these sources and directional linkage to MIS.

At iRS, we see our proposition in this light and I look forward to working closely with our clients to deliver appropriate, intelligent solutions.”

Regarding James’ appointment, Yogesh Shah, iResearch Services principle, said: “We are excited to welcome James to the team and wish him the very best. James brings valuable research industry experience and a proven track record at building successful partnerships with industry leaders. We expect our client partnerships to benefit regarding value chains focusing on the key strategic objectives of our clients research and information needs.

We are confident that James is the right person to build new relationships in UK & Europe and underpin the current ones.”

James previously served in business development leadership roles with companies like Kantar (Lightspeed), Harris Interactive and NOP. He has more than two decades of significant business development and client alliance experience, most recently promoting global customer experience programs at Martiz Research.

James is an enthusiastic sportsman having played with some of the top squash players in the world. Currently he enjoys the more sedate albeit competitive pastures of golf.
