Overview:
We are seeking an Event Executive to join our growing team who will organize, coordinate and administer events. The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing team and be involved in securing speakers, opportunities and partnerships that will attribute to the marketing objectives and overall business goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience running extensive events programmes coupled with marketing B2B experience and excellent project management skills. Exceptional coordination skills with strong communication (verbal/written), detailed orientated, knowledge and application of digital marketing techniques including social media would be beneficial. You will be overseeing all aspects of event planning and management, including internal and external events. This role would suit an experienced event assistant looking for the next step.
Responsiblities:
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement events strategy aligned with company objectives
• Manage multiple in-person, online, hybrid and membership events (for example webinars, podcasts, breakfast mornings, roundtables, workshops, masterclasses etc.)
• Manager our own TLV podcast series, sourcing and securing high-profile guest speakers, managing calendars, discovery calls and external stakeholder liaison
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand event briefs and objectives
• Take end-to-end ownership of event planning and management
• Ensure events are planned and executed within budget
• Find and book and coordinate suitable entertainment, guest speakers, event venues, contractors, and suppliers
• Ensure strict legal compliance for all events
• Attend events, manage on-site team, and exceed event brief expectations
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Manager for event marketing and promotions
• Evaluate event performance and generate reports
• Create event proposals and present them within deadlines
• Maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and stakeholders
• Plan event aspects such as venue, seating, dining, and guest list
• Delegate event planning tasks when necessary
• Anticipate and plan for different event scenarios
• Generate sales opportunities during client liaisons and events
• Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
• Proficient understanding of the UK B2B events landscape within Marketing and C-Suite audiences (additional plus within Financial Services, Professional Services, Technology sectors)
• Experience in planning or leading successful and profitable events
• Negotiating deals with suppliers and contractors
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – a true ‘people person’ happy to talk to anyone and everyone
• Strong multi-tasker with experience in juggling numerous projects and deadlines
• Self-starter, able to work autonomously and as part of a busy team
• Competent in Microsoft office and outlook (word, PowerPoint, excel)
• Understanding of using tools such as Canva
• Strong copywriting skills i.e. competent in writing, grammar and editing skills in English
• Excellent time and project management skills (additional plus if familiar with using project management platforms such as Monday.com)
• Happy in a quickfire work environment where internal/external requests can demand a flexible approach to the daily routine
• Willingness to travel and attend events
• Willing to work outside of core hours when required
• Marketing knowledge/proven work experience as an Events Coordinator (or similar role)
• Experience using social media for business
• Planning experience and strong client-facing skills
• Vendor and entertainment research
• Thorough understanding of managing hybrid events to cover the UK, North America, EMEA and APAC industries
• Knowledge of content management systems, like WordPress is a plus.
